How can I efficiently manage table ordering with a POS system?

Hi, i am a owner of a small restaurant and a new Shopify user, i am happy with the online orders and the new POS is also working well.

My question: How can i do table ordering with ? the pos ? Customers comes, order food and beverages, after that a coffee and dessert, then a liquor ... and finally pay the bill.

What is the best way to do that with the POS ? Actually i write down on paper the orders and 'make' the final bill with the Shopify pos.

I'd also love to find out more about how to optimise a restaurant ordering system, integrated with POS/ticket printer.

Would be great if the two could be optimised to work together, similar to deliveroo/uber eats etc.

Hi @Viet1700,

Did you ever find something? We've just built a POS extension for Cafes/Coffee shops, which should in theory work for restaurants too.

You can take a customers order/ticket, and then add to it over time, then at the end finally take payment for it. It will also help with things like modifiers.

Currently tickets are shown on a kitchen display (KDS) but we're working on ticket printing right now.
