How can I feature products at the top of a collection while sorting the rest by best sellers?

I want to have a few products show in specific places, for example, some featured products that are not yet best sellers to be at the top but keeping the other products in the collection to be sorted by best sellers.
Is there a way to do this?

To be honest I don't really get your issue. You should provide examples or screenshots for a better understanding. 

From what I understood you could add those specific products by tags. So products which aren't best sellers yet but you need to show them may be for example add a tag like 'soon to be best' and run a code which displays products that contain these tags.

It is pretty simple. I want a collection sorted by best-sellers. But I want to highlight a few products that I have featured in my campaigns that aren't best sellers, but because they are featured I do want to show them at the top of the collection as part of the first products. Hope this is more clear, I would love your suggestion.
