Re: Page indexing:Not found (404)

How can I fix a 404 error after submitting a sitemap to Google?

I've submitted a sitemap to Google search console and the report came back with page not found (404) - https://cleanz.sg/wpm

I think this is an old page that I should have deleted and I can't seem to find it in my admin. How can I correct this error?

Thanks,
Rick

Hi @Tembusu ,

The page https://cleanz.sg/wpm is not a shopify page. Shopify page url starts with https://cleanz.sg/pages/.

Have you currently switched from other platform to shopify?

Hi Makka,

No, it's a new website that I built from scratch.

Hi @Tembusu ,

The page that you are refering to is a 404 page which doesnot exist on the site. If you want to get rid of this URL, you can try redirecitng it to other pages.

I would to suggest you to redesign the 404 pages. Currently your 404 page looks like an actual page having a content. Something like below page.

Hello @Tembusu
You can use 301 redirects to solve 404 errors on the Google search console.
