All things Shopify and commerce
Hi I can't find a way to get a simple list of product / view count report. just view count for each product page. Can someone enlighten me? thanks!

This is an accepted solution.
I'm not sure you can do this with the Shopify analytics reports (subscribing to this thread though in case someone knows a way :D). I actually use my own app (Theme Scientist) to track this. It's an A/B testing app, but once you have A/B testing apps running, it tracks product page views, sessions, adds to cart, etc.
Probably overkill but just sharing in case it's useful (and shoot maybe we should make that a feature on a low price plan, simply tracking product data to show those stats 💡).
Free way for now though: Look in Google Analytics > Behavior > Site Content > All Pages. Then you can see stats for any product page. It's not the cleanest way to view the data, so another tactic is to set up custom GA events, and track page view event.

Thanks! surprised (or not surprised) that shopify doesn't keep track of something as basic as that. GA will do for now.
Hi! I am a little late to the party, so to say, but browsing through the forum I came across this issue. Its something that a lot of store owners are asking and for a good reason. In order to grow an online store, access to this kind of data is a must. Our app, you can check an online demo (free, no registration) here: Dhatma demo is built exactly for extracting this kind of insight. Not just product views but also, how many times a product was seen in a listings page (like collection or search) is tracked and reported. Hope that that helps!
If I understand your question correctly, here is how you can view it-
This answer should probably be marked as the solution. It's the closest thing to the GA4 Page View report. Just need to add the "Pageviews" column to the standard Report which can be done but clicking the Columns icon to adjust the Report.
I know it's been a year to this answer, but I still want to know - isn't this just a landing page views report and not really all page views report?
For instance, If 100 users land on Product A, but 50 of them go to product B, since Product B is not a landing page, those 50 views won't be counted here.
What's the best way to get total product page views distribution in Shopify Analytics?
This is only views from direct hits from external sources. I haven't found any proper way to show the amount of page views that a given page has had.
You can, just go analytics, reports and select the sessions by landing page report, then you can add a filter for page type and choose product.
As I understand, this solution would cover only traffic coming from landing pages, page/product views generated through browsing the store catalog are missed.
Best,
