We are starting with a referal programm for our PR's and more loyal clients, what we want is to track the orders made by our referal programs so we can know that the order was placed beacuse of our PR.

You may want to consider using a loyalty/rewards app to achieve this. Alternatively, you can use a private landing page (only those with a link can access it) that hosts a signup form with a hidden input that tags the customer with a specific tag (ex: loyalty) once they sign up. Once they make a purchase, you can set a rule to apply for them only OR you can simply use the tag for internal tracking purposes. You can also manually tag customers with a specific tag based on their purchase history. Not sure if this is exactly the solution you're looking for.
