Hello everyone,
I have a Shopify website and I’m looking for the best ways to improve its loading speed and overall SEO performance. I’ve already optimized my product images and reduced the number of apps, but I still feel the site could be faster and rank better on Google.

My store’s niche is [mention your niche, e.g., fashion, electronics, etc.], and most of my traffic comes from mobile users.

Can anyone suggest effective strategies, tools, or apps that work well with Shopify to boost speed and SEO?
Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thank you!

Hey @geo1aq👋

I totally get how important speed and SEO are for your store—it can really make a difference in keeping customers happy and attracting new ones.

Here are some simple tips I've found helpful:

Optimize Your Images:

- Compress images using tools like TinyPNG before uploading.
- Use the right formats—JPEG for photos and PNG for graphics.

Streamline Your Apps:

- Remove any apps you’re not actively using since extra apps can slow things down.

Leverage Shopify’s Tools:

- Check out Shopify’s speed report for insights.
- Consider enabling lazy loading for images and videos to boost performance.

Clean Up Your Theme Code:

- Remove unnecessary code or features that might be weighing your site down.

Tackle SEO Basics:

- Optimize your page titles, meta descriptions, and alt text with relevant keywords.
- Keep your URLs clean and straightforward.
- Use a clear heading structure (H1, H2, etc.) so search engines can easily understand your content.

Build Quality Backlinks:

- Create valuable, original content that others will want to link to.
- Try guest posting or collaborating with related sites to boost your store's authority.

Each of these tweaks can add up to a significant improvement over time.

Hope this helps! If you're happy with the solution please mark as accepted or solved. 😊

Hi @geo1aq ,

You're absolutely right that structuring your site cleanly is important for SEO. However, headers (H1, H2, etc.) play a crucial role in helping search engines understand your content hierarchy and relevance. Proper use of headers improves readability, enhances accessibility, and boosts SEO rankings.

To ensure your Shopify store is fully optimized, we highly recommend using our SEO app. It helps analyze and structure your content effectively, ensuring that you're not missing any key SEO opportunities while maintaining a clean layout.

Hi @geo1aq

Thank you for the question raised here at first!

From what you shared here, you would like to improve website page speed and overall SEO performance to make the site faster and rank better on Google. Please note that page speed improvement is not only related to optimizing product images and reducing the number of apps but also to optimizing the website page contents and background codes, like On-Page SEO and eliminating unnecessary codes, for instance.

To rank better on Google, you need to do On-Page SEO on your website and make your website content more structured and easier for Google to read and crawl. This will make Google think your website is good and possibly display it at a higher rank in the Search Results.

Concerning the apps that work well with Shopify to boost speed and SEO, I recommend using SEOAnt APP here. It is an All-in-One SEO tool APP and includes highlight features like SEO Checker, Speed Optimization, On-Page SEO, Search Appearance, Line Management and Keyword research, etc. If you feel interested in this APP after viewing it, please click here to install and you can also use the shared discount SEOAnt 30% Jeffery to further test features, thank you!
