How can I link a new domain to a specific collection page?

I have a store on shopify with its own domain. Yesterday I purchased another domain in hopes to use it for  new collection I have, I wanted that domain to direct to the collection when its typed in someones browser. For some reason though it set it to automatically redirect to my main store / main domain. I don't have any clickable options, nowhere to edit or enter a new redirec link, etc ... it only lets me "set as primary" which I of course don't want to do. any ideas?

Hi @bajusls,

You can try the following steps to redirect the domain to the wanted collection:

1. From your Shopify admin, click Online store > Navigation

2. Click on View URL directs at the top right corner

In Redirect from, enter the old URL that you want to redirect visitors from.

I did this for my site and the page is still directing to the homepage, not the specific page on our site.
