How can I modify my slider for better link integration?

Hi, 

I am looking for help customizing my Shopify sliders in two ways.

1. I have changed the height of the banners to allow for more sales pages to appear above the fold, but the slider container remains the old height, leaving white space below. You can view it here. 
2. I would also like to make the entire image on each slide into a link to pages/products/categories, etc. I don't want to use the button, but want the whole image to be the link.  

Any help you can provide would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Thank you! This does remove the space! 

Now I just need to figure out how to make each image in the slider a link rather than using the linkable buttons from the designer.
