All things Shopify and commerce
I love Shopify, I really do, but it has some "issues".
1. It would be nice if I could upload a product photo and use it over and over again instead of having to upload it every time I create a new product. That would mean that I could simply replace the old photo with a new one and all the products using that photo would be automatically updated. Often my clients use the same photo over and over again for products like "sockets". (It would also save server space.)
2. I am currently "bulk editing" 7600+ products to change the Inventory Policy to "Continue Selling". Not fun, but even worse, when I update the 50 on the page, I have to hit the back arrow on the bulk editor and it takes me back to page 1. Why can't it take me back to the page I was on or let me just hit a "next" arrow for the next page of products? (I tried making this change importing a csv file, but it wouldn't allow the "Inventory Policy" column even though it exported the "Inventory Policy" column.)
Please, software engineers, take notice.
Hi, @MWells!
Thanks for reaching out in our Community forums and for sharing your experience, I’d be happy to pass along your feedback with the appropriate team for consideration.
You mentioned that you would like a functionality that would allow you to automatically update products with the same images automatically if you make a change to one of the photos. Is that correct? Also, have you looked at our App Store to see if a bulk photo updating app could be of assistance?
Secondly, to confirm that we are focusing on the same scenario, when bulk editing your products and select all on the page, the back arrow takes you directly to page one instead of the previous page you were on. You also mentioned that you tried making an edit on the Inventory Policy section of the CSV file with no avail. Are you able to share the error message you received so that I can take a closer look?
Feel free to reply back to this thread with any questions or updates and we can continue our conversation further.
Looking forward to your response!

Also it would be great when you're using bulk edit , to have a column for "Date imported into shopify" and " import source" and if you could somehow be able to edit the contents of a multiple drop down lists when you've selected multiple rows as i find i spend a lot of time manually going through each drop down list choosing the same thing on 100s of items.
Hi, @pooch_eire!
Thank you for joining this thread.
I can certainly see how these features would enhance your workflow. I will gladly share these details with our developers. Regarding the "Date imported into Shopify" and "import source" columns, could you provide a real-world example of when these would be utilized? This information will help me offer more context to our developers.
For editing the content for multiple dropdown lists, you should be able to accomplish this by clicking and holding onto the small blue dot on the bottom right box where the dropdown is located, and then dragging it down to all the applicable fields.
Please let me know if this information is helpful or if you need further assistance!
