How can I present prices in MXN while maintaining a USD backend without using Shopify Payments?

it's crucial for me to maintain my database in USD (backend) while presenting the frontend prices in MXN (Mexican pesos) based on current currency exchange rates. Shopify offers a "markets" section to address such requirements, but it necessitates the use of Shopify Payments. The challenge is that Shopify Payments is not accessible in Mexico. Do you happen to be aware of any apps or workarounds that could help address this situation? I'm currently utilizing Shopify Advanced, so the multi-store option is not a viable solution, and Shopify Plus appears to be excessive for our current needs.

Hi @LeonEsquenazi There are so many apps in shopify apps store which you can use to change the currency on your store, but if you want that you will be able to charge the customer in MXN, with the help of those app and without use of Markets then it is not possible.

You need to understand the working, as no app will be able to process the payment they can just be able to change the currency till cart page or may be in Checkout page as well, but still customer will need to pay in USD and your store currency is set to USD and those apps are not providing the payment gateway. Payment gateways are used by shopify and shopify use to get the information, which you have added in your store.

It may sound little weird and complicated but this is the case.

let me provide you the simple answer, Apps can help you to show the currency according to your need in your store, but they can't help you to process the payment in that currency i.e in your case MXN.

You can take the help to show the prices to customer in MXN till cart or checkout page but customer have to pay you in USD, if you are not using the Markets.
