All things Shopify and commerce
Hi,
I run a wholesale shopify website where prices only show when customers are logged in.
However, I have an issue with prices showing up via google search (anyone can see the wholesale price from google search).
How can i fix this?
Even if you've removed what a normal customer will see there can be other parts in the underlying HTML that Google and other search engines can read. That could have the prices still present. Are you willing to share a link to a product, so those here can test the theory?
If you can't share then head to any of your product urls, and use the "view source" or "view page source" to see the html. Once there search for the price or even the word "price" - if something shows in the search you know you've got a bit more to clean up.
Hi @AquaLabs
Google read the product details using the search console platform where we submit the sitemap or merchant api.
Please Remove the data sharing from these places and you are done.
Hope this will helps...
We have the same issue, could you please provide more details on how to remove the data sharing from the search console platform and the merchant API? Any specific steps or instructions would be greatly appreciated!
Did you find a solution to this? We are experiencing the same issue and have so far not found a solution that removes crawling prices successfully.
