How can I remove a ghost collection from my store?

I cannot delete a ghost collection.  Please help.

I understand that you're having issues deleting a collection, I'd be more than happy to assist you.

 

Is it giving you an error when you attempt to delete? Or what happens when you try to delete it? Any additional information or screenshots you can provide would be most helpful. Feel free to also share the URL of the ghost collection if you have it. Can you tell me what you mean by ghost collection?

It wont let me even set up a collection it keep asking for permission from the administer but that’s me and it still wont work

Thanks for your response. Are you still experiencing this issue? 

 

Can you advise what you mean by 'ghost collection', do you mean a collection has been added however it was not added by yourself or another member of staff? Has it been set within your theme and is showing in your frontend?

 

After trying the below steps in the admin, can you share a screenshot of the permission error for me?

 

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Products > Collections.

  2. Click the name of the collection that you want to delete.

  3. Click Delete collection.

  4. Click Delete collection in the confirmation box to delete the collection.

Can you confirm the same occurs in different browsers or in private mode? You can try clearing your cache and cookies as mentioned here and also ensuring the browser is up-to-date and supported as shown here.

I guess you followed the steps:

 

1. Go to your Shopify admin panel and click on Collections in the sidebar menu.
2. Find the ghost collection that you want to delete and click on the three dots button next to it.
3. Select Delete Collection from the menu that pops up.
4. A confirmation window will appear asking if you're sure that you want to delete, confirm that you do.
