How can I remove a product from an automatic collection?

Hello friends,

I would like to know how exclude some product from a automatic collection.

All my collections are automatic because I have more than 600 products plus variants, then it's easy to do it automatic, but the problem is that i can't exclude products from the automatic collections. Do yo know a way to exclude some?

Hi @JPCancino,

Automated collections will include or exclude products based on the conditions you set, so you'll just need to set the conditions for the collection in question to include or exclude products as you desire. There are a number of different filters you can use, such as the product's title, type, price, or weight. If you wanted to exclude all products of a certain type, for example, you could configure your collection's conditions as such:

In the featured box above you would enter in the product type you wish to exclude, and then all products bar the ones that have this type would be added to the collection. If you wish to be more specific and exclude specific products, you can do the same with the product title filter:

Are you trying to exclude the product from a manual or an automated collection? If it's an automated collection, what conditions do you have enabled?

Is there a way to exclude a product from the standard collection for all products?

This is a collection that is not shown under Collections. The link in the cart "START SHOPPING" indicates to this page.

Hi @Bernd3,

I believe if you manually create a collection titled "All" (so the collection's URL handle reads storename.com/collections/all) then this will override the all products list that appears by default when you visit this handle. You can then exclude the product(s) in question from this collection.

Hey Victor, I'm just following your process here and trying to exclude some products from our automated lists for a short period of time. I've set up the collection to say Product Title - Does not contain - Impulso, but the Impulso product still shows in this collection once I've saved it. Is that because it's set to any condition? This particular collection is set up for style lengths, I sell clothing so it's set up for leggings of various lengths and styles. Any help would be greatly appreciated

You seem to be correct, although I can't be certain as I'm unable to view your collection. Essentially, if you set your products to match "all conditions," a product will only appear in your collection if it meets every single condition you've set. On the other hand, if you set products to match "any condition," it means that as long as a product meets any one of the conditions you've set, it will appear in the collection. Feel free to switch the "product match" setting and see if the products you don't want disappear from the list. If they persist and you're still facing issues, please create a support ticket by visiting our Help Center, and we'll take a look at your collection!

This is rather limiting - it means that you can't set up a collection where you include items with {one list of tags}, and also exclude items with {some other list of tags}, which undermines a lot of the utility of the tag system.  In fact, there is no filter option for listings which do not contain a tag.

  Any word on when this feature is going to be fully functional?
