How can I remove an old vendor from my product list?

Simple question...

I use the vendor filter constantly at the back-end of shopify when editing products

It seems to save every vendor I have ever had, even if there are no products listed with that vendor...

Can I remove the old ones?

1. In your Shopify admin, go to "Products" and click on "All products."
2. Click on the "Filters" dropdown and select "Vendor."
3. Click on the vendor name that you want to remove.
4. In the vendor page, click on the "Edit vendor" button.
5. Delete the vendor name and click on "Save vendor."

This will remove the vendor from your store's list of vendors. However, if the vendor was associated with any products, you will need to reassign those products to a different vendor before you can delete the vendor.

I do not see a Manage Vendor button or an Edit Vendor button.

There is no "All Products" to click. And there is no "Filters Dropdown". We are new to Shopify and not happy with its Admin functionality. Can someone help here, please?

Yes, you can remove old vendors in Shopify. To do this, follow these steps:

1.Go to your Shopify admin panel and click on "Products".

2.Click on "Filter" and select "Vendor".

3.Click on the "Vendors" dropdown menu and select "Manage vendors".

4.Click on the trash bin icon next to the vendor you want to delete.

5.A confirmation dialog box will appear. Click "Delete" to confirm.

6.Repeat steps 4-5 for any additional vendors you want to delete.

Note that deleting a vendor will not delete any products associated with that vendor. You will need to reassign those products to a different vendor if you want to change the vendor for those products.

Hey all. Similar issue. Try this. Go to Products > Search and Filter (top right icon). Then use the 'Product Vendor' filter drop-down menu to find/select the vendor(s) you don't want anymore. Basically, if there are still products and inventory associated with a vendor, then the vendor will show. So, either reduce inventory to zero or move the product to a different vendor. 

You are not deleting the vendor, you are moving products away from the vendor. If there are no products associated with the vendor it will not show.

You can use the "Smart Bulk Delete Products" app to delete specific vendors' products.

None of these responses are helpful or answer the original question. They all seem to want to help you delete products, but not remove the vendor from the drop-down list. I would actually like to remove outdated vendors from my drop-down (in all products) but not delete the history and products associated with the vendor. 

Is this possible? 

1. Delete or remove a vendor from appearing in the drop down list.

2. Retain the product information and sales data associated with the vendor on the backend.
