How can I resolve the 'already connected to another commerce' issue on Shopify?

Hello, I am new to Shopify. This is my first time creating one. However everytime I try to connect my Facebook or Instagram it is giving me this message 

Your Shopify store already has a catalog connected to it. Since this asset is linked to a different catalog, you’ll need to disconnect your existing catalog to continue.

 

i have checked and I am the only admin on my accounts. I need help what catalog is it talking about

I appreciate the context that you both have shared with us as that is very helpful! Looking into this, Shopify does not have full access to view which catalogs may be connected to your Facebook & Instagram accounts. With that being said, you will need to reach out to Meta support to have a further look into this situation. You can reach out to their support by using the link within the Facebook & Instagram sales channel shown in the screenshot below:
