All things Shopify and commerce
Hi all! We run junejulyshop.com and make one-off, handmade toddler/baby clothing rompers, shorts, etc. There is only 1 of every product, and we do products "drops" every two weeks, usually on a Tuesday at 9am CST. Right now, we have the upcoming products showing on the website as "sold out" (here's an example) so people can browse before the drop and decide what they'd like to buy on the drop day. How can we schedule a future inventory change from 0 to 1 at a specific time on a specific day?
Example: On August 1, 2023 at 9am CST, please change on-hand inventory of "Short Sleeve Romper - I Believe in Nashville" from 0 to 1. So when a customer views that product page and refreshes their browser at that time, they see 1 available and quickly add to cart and checkout.
I appreciate any and all help!
Hey there! Have you found a solution to your request? I'm curious about any possible plugins here 🤔
Nope - no responses from Shopify yet. I'm using the Klaviyo "Back in Stock" custom code feature right now for our "coming soon" products so users can click "Notify me when available" and receive a reminder email through a Klaviyo email flow, but it doesn't solve the original issue I posted about. If there is an app out there that can handle product drops while still showing the products on the site to build up hype, I'd love to know about it.
Alright! It seems like a solution that my team is currently working on. I'll reach out to you directly via email @junejuly to give you a bit more context and information. We're happy to help!
