How can I sell a service on Shopify?

Hi I would like to know how one can sell a service on shopify.

I have a question that is related. I sell time-based services in a Shopify store and use an app (Sesami) that books the time for the session (single session only) and enables customers to give their credit card info and complete the payment and scheduling process in one operation. However, if I wanted to switch to using Calendly or Acuity for scheduling, how would the customer input credit card info to pay?

To sell services on Shopify:

Create Services as Products: Set up each service type as a product, with variants for speed or vehicle type. Turn off shipping for these products.

Custom Fields: Use apps like Infinite Options to collect pickup and drop-off addresses.

Dynamic Pricing: For distance based pricing use Google Maps API and customize the frontend with Hydrogen to calculate and display real-time prices.

Checkout & Payments: Pass calculated prices to Shopify’s checkout. Use Shopify Payments or another processor for transactions.

Order Tracking: Store order status updates in Order Metafields and display in a customer dashboard built with Hydrogen.

Customer Dashboard: Build a dashboard with Hydrogen where customers can view order history, track orders and request new.

This will make Shopify work for your services.
