How can I sell in my origin country and in the USA?

I'd like to sell in my home country which is Germany and in the USA, but I don't know what settings to select. The markets on Shopify confuse me.

Also I wonder, if someone from a country like Canada or from France, which is also in Europe orders from my shop. do those orders get declined automatically? How is this manageable?

Welcome to Shopify!

Those are great questions. It's important to keep in mind that you can sell worldwide, no matter where you are located. Your store settings, however, need to be where you operate your business. In your case; Germany. 

If you want to sell worldwide, Shopify Markets simply allows you to optimize your store for that countries needs. For example, if someone from the US visits your site they will see USD and English.
