How can I set up a buy one get one discount on Shopify?

I am trying to set up discount where if you buy one of a product, the price is $22. If you are to purchase 2 or more, the price drops to $20 for ALL of that product, including the first one added to cart. Is there a way to do this through Shopify discount, or does it require a app?

Example: Buy 1 at $22 or 2 or more for $20 each

The only way to accomplish something like this through a discount is to deduct an amount or percentage when a customer buys a predetermined set of products. I don't believe this is the right route for what you are hoping to accomplish.

What you're looking for will be an application such as a tier discount app or a bundle and save app. These apps will be able to automatically offer your customers a discount if they buy more than one. Depending on how you want to present the information to your customer, you will be able to set conditions for the discount based on bundling products or offering tier discounts for a single product. The options are endless!

You can create the Buy 1 at $22 or 2 or more for $20 each discount using Simple Discount's quantity break / tier feature. As the customer adds qualifying products to cart, the discount is automatically applied when the criteria is met (discount codes are an option too). It's super simple to set up.
