if you get the email re DMARC and it says yours is not set up if you use an email host you can go to dmarcian.com and use their wizard to set up your DMARC free. I use go daddy email and was able to call them to add to my DNS.

HERE is google instructions re DMARC

Thank you for this. Very helpful. Do you know...does doing this per Shopify's instructions affect emails I send via Mailchimp using the same domain? (I send to newsletter subscribers via MC and to customers via Shopify. I don't want to mess up my MC sends.)

Mailchimp is another outside mail service, too.
You will have to get with them on this issue.
Your email send from is the concern.
If you don't to the DMARC it will show up at your store @MyShopify, etc
etc.
so customer will still recognize it but it might not come in to mail chimp?
not sure.

I am having the same issue. I use Mailchimp and set up my DMARC for that but I can only have one set if DMARC records per domain. My email is through office 365 via godaddy and domain is hosted at namecheap. I can’t have more than one email address with the office 365 account so need to use a different email for my shop account email and send to customer emails. I can’t ask Mailchimp for help as they don’t offer email soon my plan. My shop is shop.fosterscreations.us but am wanting to use an email at fosterscreations.com as that domain is permanently redirected to fosterscreations.us. But Shopify keeps telling me I need the DMARC records on the .us domain. My mail chimp uses the .us domain for email. Is there an easy fix for this or do I just make sure the Mailchimp is correct and let the Shopify emails show from Shopify. This is a giant headache that no one want to help with only directing me other places.

You need to use a mail server. Mailchimp is for incoming mail but
not advertising.
I use GO DADDY email for outgoing emails and Klaviyo to advertise.
go to godaddy and set up for a yearly fee your own email and use their
DMARC system.

This is confusing to me. Mailchimp is an email service like Klaviyo I have used it for years for my business newsletter. It allows advertising email. I believe I got it all figured out with the help of Shopify. Sorry to have wasted everyone’s time here.

Thanks for asking. The DMARC record setup on your domain will impact any emails you send through any provider, so you will want to ensure that all of your email service providers are authenticating to pass your DMARC policy.
