All things Shopify and commerce
How can you filter your products by "continue selling when out of stock"? I know there is a way to do it because I've done it before but I cannot figure it out for the life of me. I thought it was under products/inventory? Of course it's possible that Shopify removed the ability to do this which would be annoying but if anybody knows please let me know it would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks
can you please open your product in admin after go to inventory allow this option
I'm afraid that's not working anymore. It was possible by a filter option on the inventory page, but Shopify deleted this for some reason. I also lost track of all my products that were allowed "continue selling when out of stock".
I think this is a major issue. Now, when I allow overselling, I also give the product a special tag, so I can find it at a later stage. Very time consuming and frustrating.
AGREED! It's so frustrating that they keep changing this stuff and then when you ask them about it, most of the Shopify employees are just clueless...
I agree it's a major issue for anyone who allows overselling for any reason. I think tagging products is the best solution we can hope for at this point, but it really is not a good workaround, as it leaves too much room for human error if we forget to tag the product.
has this been fixed?
Of course not, Shopify is the worst. I have no idea why I’m still with them! Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful
I posted my solution above 🙂 Have a nice day!
Hi! Here's a tip: I recommend exporting all your products first. In my case, I exported all active products and then filtered them based on the "Variant Inventory Policy" set to "Continue," which indicates that the box in Shopify is checked. If you have more than 10 products and want to avoid doing this manually, simply add "OR" after each SKU in the search bar and then bulk edit. Hope this helps!
