How did you transfer gift card balances from Square to Shopify?

Has anyone switched from square to shopify? If so what did you do about your outstanding gift card balances from square, and how did you change those over to shopify?

The only way to complete this I believe is through the use of this app, which allows for the importation of gift cards and balances from any platform:

If starting to sell gift cards on Shopify, other limitations like being able to send directly to a recipient, add a message, etc. are also solved via an app called Gift Card Pro:

Hi--Thanks for recommending this app.  Does this app have value beyond the migration? 
We just need to do a one-time migration.  If we use this app to migrate and then turn it off, will the gift card numbers we migrated continue to be available?  Thanks for your help.

You could easily import your existing gift card codes to Shopify using this app:

We just need to migrate one time but then want an upgraded gift card experience.  We need POS which this app doesn't offer.  If we migrate the cards through this app and then switch to something that offers POS and Online, will the migrated card numbers continue to be available?

@emstitchery yes, migrated gift cards would be still available. 

Not sure what are your current requirements re POS gift cards but I reckon OOTB Shopify Gift Cards works quite well with the POS and there is no need for an additional app.
