How do I charge a price per letter on a custom product

Hi all, hoping someone can help me.

My website: www.houseoftierney.com.au

I have one product which is a customized wooden 3d sign. I want to charge $9 per letter entered in the personalization box. How can I do this? 

I'd love to be able to do it for free or alternatively can someone recommend an app that will do this?

To achieve the same please follow below steps.

1. Create a product having cost of your desired price.

2. Hide the quantity using theme customize option.

3. Enable input or textarea field to customers.

4. Write custom script to count character which will update product quantity in backend.

Make sure you don't count space.

Hello there! I'm facing a similar issue, and I'm having trouble adjusting the price based on user input. I'd like to change the price using the formula:
Price = Initial_Cost * input / 4.
