How do I fix duplicate meta descriptions on blog posts?

Hi all, 

I have a problem with blog tags creating duplicate meta descriptions. All blog tags have the same meta description. How can I change the meta descriptions for individual blog tags? Thanks

Hi @Sona1 ,

Welcome to Shopify Community.

To have individual description on blogs, please visit the blog section via Online Store -> Blog Posts.

Click on the blog that you want to have your own description.

Click on 'Edit Website SEO' and put your own description on the Description section.

This should do the trick.

Thank you Sajat for your answer. Blog tags are creating duplicate meta descriptions. It seems all blog tags have the same meta description. This problem has been discussed before. I tried to change the code but couldn't do it. I checked the tags individually on the blog, but health info & news is not used as a tag.

Just to be clear, you are creating blogs from Online Store -> Blogs. 

And you are editing your description from 'Edit website SEO'.

Are these correct?

I tested myself by creating two individual blogs, with same blog tag; and I can see the desired meta description on individual blogs.

Can you please send a screenshot? So, that it is more clear.

Yes, there is no problem with creating meta descriptions on individual blogs. The problem is with the health News &Info. Even If I write individual meta descriptions for the blog It looks like all blog tags have the same meta description.
