How do I get a refund for a mistakenly selected plan on Shopify?

dear shopify,

 

I have just created Shopify Store and I selected a plan by mistake that I did not want to take, my payment has been deducted, I want to take it back , what is the procedure?

i am new user i just try to understand on shopify

I understand that you have selected a paid plan for your store, have been charged for your subscription and are now wondering how to get a refund. Thanks for reaching out here - I'd be happy to steer you in the right direction.

 

As per our Terms of Service page here, we generally do not offer refunds for things like subscription charges etc. However, I do understand that sometimes mistakes can be made, so I can see why you would be eager to get your payment back, as you did not want to be charged.

 

Here on the Shopify Community we cannot access your account to see things like your subscription and previous billing. However, if you reach out to our support team using this link here, one of our advisors can authenticate you on the store and take a closer look. We cannot guarantee any refunds, but you can explain your situation to them and they will do their best to accommodate you. The sooner you do this the better.

 

You mentioned that you are a new user and just trying to understand Shopify - how did you find the experience of setting up your store? I would love to know if there was anything that you found particularly challenging or difficult?
