I'm having trouble getting my first sales, even though I keep doing ads, I'm running out of money, how do I get visitors to buy my products without having a review? I need to have a sales by the end of this year or else I'm going to shut down my store, and have wasted a lot of money. Anybody got a suggestion as what I should do?

The marketing strategies I've used before were ads and ads only, I make ads myself and sometimes I pay for ads, but now I'm running out of money and can't pay for ads, and so far I haven't gotten a single sale yet...

Hello R35mk5

Thanks for reaching out to the community!

I found this blog on Shopify - https://www.shopify.com/blog/17807064-how-to-make-your-first-10-sales, and hope it can be of some assistance to you.

There are various suggestions, like understanding the customers by conducting customer surveys, improving website navigation, optimizing page speed, providing alternative payment options, etc., which can help you to optimize your website for the customers and meet their expectations. This is expected to help you improve the traffic and conversions on your website.

I would also like to add some suggestions to the list presented in the blog:

  • Increase Social Media Engagement: Social media is one of the best digital platforms that allows businesses to connect with their customers and better understand them on a personal level. Increasing social media engagement can help you interact with your customers, take their feedback about your website and products, and make improvements to your website and services. Additionally, social media allows the business to build trust relationships with the customers, which favors customer retention.
  • Optimize Product Images: Ensure that you add optimized and good-quality images of the products on the website, which are taken from different angles. Additionally, you can optimize the images by adding keywords to the file name and alt text of the images, which helps the website rank for that keyword and improves the visibility of the website on the search engine.
  • Use Google Analytics: Google Analytics is the analytical tool by Google, which provides quantifiable information to the users about the website. You can use this tool to measure important metrics, which can help you measure website performance, understand website traffic, and ascertain the areas of improvement on the website.

Hope it helps!

Hi @r35mk5 ,

Thanks for reaching out about this. I'm sorry to hear that you haven't seen any sales yet. Every business is different, and some folks see sales very quickly, and others don't see them until a few months or weeks down the road. The most important thing to check is to make sure there are no errors with your website, and that you're working on your marketing and SEO, so customers can find your shop!

I’d love to know more about your business and your current marketing initiatives. What type of products are you selling? You can also share your store URL and I can provide some more tailored advice! In the meantime, we have a great guide on how to make your first sale that goes over a few free traffic sources.

In addition to that, have you taken some time to look into your marketing strategy for your shop? Shopify allows you to organically grow your marketing and SEO, but you definitely want to invest some time into getting these things going. Marketing on Social Media, for example, is a great way to drive customers to your online store. I have two blog resources for you to check out here that should help with this if you haven't started yet:

The type of products that I'm selling is electronics or techs for the use inside homes/houses. I used TikTok, and Instagram as marketing but It's no luck. Also many experts say that my store looks to bland and will make people/customers not want to buy, my store only get's viewed, and no one buys. My store link is 76a6a6-2.myshopify.com.

Hi @r35mk5 ,

Thank you for sharing the link here. However, for some reason the link of your store is not opening a working storefront. Are you able to access your store admin and store front on your end?

However, I noticed that your domain is myshopify.com one which is certainly not a benefit for your brand. I would recommend considering getting a custom domain.

Customers tend to trust businesses with custom domains. A custom domain name allows you to establish your business name and create a brand identity online with a website address that can grow right along with you. It can also positively impact your search engine rankings. Search engines often prioritize websites with custom domains over those with generic or free domains.

You can buy a domain via Shopify directly, or you can buy it at any third party provider and then connect it to your Shopify store. I'm confident this information will be helpful to you and if you need a hand with this process feel free to thread below, and I'll be happy to help as much as I can.
