All things Shopify and commerce
I was toying with the idea of an App to post my store content to Etsy, and this integration required that stock levels be activated. Since then, I've gone another way with Etsy, and although I can find ways to check and change stock levels in Shopify, I can't seem to deactivate it!?
Is there a way I can just stop tracking anything storewide? Mine is a print on demand store I don't have stock or any need to track it.
Thank you!

Hi J,
Sorry to keep you waiting. I have found this article for you. In the reply section, they suggested a way to stop tracking inventory in bulk: https://community.shopify.com/c/shopify-discussions/how-to-globally-edit-store-to-not-track-inventor....
Can you please try and let me know if it works for you?

Hi, thanks but there is no screenshot attached - am I missing something?

Hi @Vanwear,
Sorry I did not manage to attach the screenshot for some reason. Thank you for letting me know.
To stop tracking inventory of products, please do like this:
Step 1: Please go to your store admin, click on 'Products'.
Step 2: Choose the product you do not want to track inventory
Step 3: Uncheck this box > Save.

Hi, thanks for the response. However, that option does not appear on any of my products.
To be honest, what I am asking is - is there a more generic setting that will stop me from tracking stock on all products. I did not want to go into each individual product in order to track the stock (plus, as you can see that doesn't seem to be an option for me) and I don't wish to have to go into every individual product to stop tracking it. Surely, if I can turn it on I can turn it off?
Thanks!
J

Thank you for taking the time to find this, I tried it and it did actually work!
I've no idea why Shopify make this so difficult but, having used Shopify for a few months now, I realise there are definitely numerous very odd, awkward and implausible quirks in the software that make it quite a pain to use. Mainly, I find it almost unbearably slow to update things, and nowadays that is a real deal-breaker because there's just no excuse for it. I am on a £3,000 iMac with a 100MB Fibre Connection and it is still awfully slow when updating anything to do with products.
Anyway, thank you once again for the solution.
Hi J!
I am so glad you found a workaround for this! That's so nice of you to response and accept my reply as a solution.
Every E-commerce platform has its pros and cons, and so does Shopify. I am also using Macbook and sometimes it takes a bit long to edit things at backend, but luckily we can reach out to Shopify 24/7 live support team or the community for help.
I truly wish your business prosper and look forward to cooperating with you soon. Have a nice rest of your day, J!
Best,
Molly.

Hello, could you please tell me what you did? I tried the link but the article is archived now and I have the exact same issue as you! Any help would be appreciated. TIA
I am having the same problem and when I click the solved link provided, it is not taking me to the answer. Please help as I have just opened my shopify account today and I have over 300 items that I make to order and I don't want to track inventory. This is very tedious and I want to just turn it off if possible.
I actually called and got support on this. You can easily select no tracking on multiple items by going to products then clicking the box besides the ones you don’t want to track and open bulk edit. From there click the colum button in the top right corner and add the tracking to you columns. Then go and make sure they are all of them are deselected.
it’s a little glitchy and she recommended I only do about 20 at a time. I got it done that way. It was a heck of a lot easier than one at a time.
Hello i am having the same issues , i dont wanna go into 300 plus items and put dont track inventory on each item. please help if possible
Read the reply I posted to my comment. I got it figured out.
Hey @Vanwear
So you are unable to stop your stock’s tracking feature on Shopify store?
Simply set “Shopify Don’t Track Inventory” and eliminate all the unnecessary updates and streamline your store processes.
With the launch of different marketplaces and trending platforms, every marketer is looking for apps that will help them to make their business visible at all verticals and get their brand noticed globally.
Since you are also working with Shopify and Etsy together, an integration app is valuable.
Multichannel selling is a very effective approach and it's also beneficial to small businesses and entrepreneurs to get their products the attention they deserve.
The stats indicate that nearly 46.7% of searches originate from marketplaces like Ebay, Shopify, Etsy, etc., rather than Google.
Etsy Marketplace Integration App is an integration app that is revolutionizing the multichannel setup by providing a single platform for your Shopify and Etsy store.
With features like :
1) Real-time synchronization system, synchronize inventory, price, and listing updates from your stores to the App in one go.
2)Using the app, existing sellers on Etsy and Shopify can connect existing products instantly and eliminate the possibility of creating duplicate listings.
3)Etsy Integration allows bulk product uploads and complete product management, a feature of Product Management that automates this process to the fullest extent along with an efficient inventory management system.
4) Variations can be edited later, and to solve this problem more efficiently, listings with advanced profiling features will prove to be your best guide.
5) Its 24/7 customer support is one of its best features.
These are my suggestions as they will resolve your issue and provide you with added benefits.
If you want to get hold of the app, Tap here : https://apps.shopify.com/etsy-marketplace-integration
I hope my answer helps you well.
Thank you!
