How do you calculate total stock value without an app?

How do you guys check the total value of stock both cost and retails?

We used to export products, total the inventory and cost price. But for some reason, the inventory quantity was removed from the "all products" export.

I'd rather not use another app for this.

I did a bit of research and found I could do this with a spreadsheet merge.

This seems like a small thing to solve initially but it can get a bit tricky as your store grows to multiple locations and vendors.

I completely understand you might not want to use an app for this purpose.

Just in case you or anyone who stumbles across this thread might find our app useful.

It drills down the data with location, product type, and vendor-based filters and provides the Inventory value of the subset of products a store owner might need.
