All things Shopify and commerce
I have multiple suppliers. they are not directly connected to my shopify dashboard so how i can send orders to them automatically. so they can get order and deliver as soon as possible for fast shipping. if i send order manually it takes lot of time.
Hey Shop3India,
You'd want to use the 'Custom Fulfillment Services' functionality.
See here: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/shipping/fulfillment-services/custom
This will allow you to create a 'custom fulfillment service' for each of your suppliers, which you can then apply to your products. Whenever a product with one of these applied to it is purchased by a customer, an email will be automatically be sent to that supplier, saying that the customer purchased X-product(s) from your store, and that it needs to be shipped to Y-address.
You'd need to settle with the supplier manually, but provided that you have an agreement with them, they can just bill you the totals each month, instead of having to deal with things on an order-by-order basis.
Hope the above helps! 🙂
Cheers,
Stephen

Hi StephensWorld,
I would like to follow up on this reply if possible.
Do you know where I can find more information on how to settle with a supplier manually? I'm in the process of setting up a store and a number of my suppliers are small businesses, so I will be using the 'custom fulfilment services' functionality to send order details to them to be fulfilled.
I understand this process from an order fulfilment perspective, but I need to get back to suppliers with a proposed method for settling costs. Any information on how both options (month-end settling / order-by-order steeling) can run through Shopify or any advice on best practices would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Hey @Burnleys_Store
The suppliers you work with should have their own system for managing their invoices (it shouldn't be on you, as the 'purchaser' to create your own invoices and then pay them). If they don't have any kind of system in place, then it would all probably have to be done manually -- though again, that would be on their end, otherwise, you could just 'make up' a total which doesn't equal the actual amount you owe them (not that you'd do this, but in theory, you "could").
You could look into "purchase orders" apps from the Shopify app store. Something like this one (https://apps.shopify.com/purchase-orders-pro) might help you with at least being able to track and better organize/calculate what you'll need to pay (so that it doesn't come as a shock to you when it's time to pay your suppliers).
Still, I'd say this is a responsibility for your suppliers, and not you.
