To generate a QR code for your Shopify website, you can use Shopify's built-in feature or a third-party tool. Here's how to do it in both ways:

### Method 1: Using Shopify’s Built-in QR Code Generator

Shopify provides a QR code feature for creating marketing campaigns and directing customers to your store.

1. **Log into Shopify Admin:**
- Go to your Shopify admin panel.

2. **Navigate to Marketing:**
- Click on **Marketing** from the left-hand side menu.

3. **Create Campaign:**
- Click on **Create Campaign** and select **Create QR code** from the available options.

4. **Customize QR Code:**
- Choose the destination where the QR code should direct the customer (e.g., your website homepage, product page, collection page, etc.).
- You can also set up discounts or any other actions (optional).

5. **Generate and Download:**
- Click **Create QR code**, and then **Download** the QR code. You can use it on your marketing materials, website, or packaging.

### Method 2: Using a Third-Party QR Code Generator

If you want more customization options, like adding your logo or adjusting colors, you can use online QR code generators like **QR Code Monkey**, **QRCode Generator**, or **Scanova**. Here’s how:

1. **Go to a QR Code Generator Website:**
- Visit a site like [QR Code Monkey](https://www.qrcode-monkey.com) or [QRCode Generator](https://www.qr-code-generator.com).

2. **Enter Your Shopify URL:**
- Enter your Shopify store URL (e.g., `https://yourstore.myshopify.com`) or any specific page (e.g., product page, collection page) you want the QR code to link to.

3. **Customize the QR Code (Optional):**
- You can customize the design, color, add a logo, or adjust the size and shape.

4. **Download the QR Code:**
- Once satisfied, click **Create QR Code** and **Download** it as a PNG or other file format.

Make sure you **test the QR code** after generating it to ensure it links correctly to your store. If it stops working, check if the link is still active or if the page was moved or removed.

I'm afraid you might have used one of those spammy generators that advertise free QR codes, and then disable your code and ask you to pay a subscription. QR codes don't expire and it seems your code was working initially. One should be very careful here. I am using one of the third-party solutions, Uniqode and I'm really happy with it, that would be my recommendation for you and anyone who's still looking. But the first thing to do is always check the reviews. Especially what users have to say in different online communities. I read several times about a situation similar to yours where a QR code just stops working. It's frustrating and more often than not expensive because many people already print the codes on their promo material. Sorry it happened to you.
