My payout got put on hold because Shopify wanted proof I was allowed to sell specific licensed items. (Pokemon, Batman, etc.)
I submitted my paperwork to prove this, highlighted it and even noted on what pages the specific products were. This should be a 5 minute review and release, but the stupid AI bot says they probably won't be paying out for 120 Days, which is messed up since they were good to pay me out until about 1 week ago. I've messaged using the chat, but all I get are, "Aww that sucks, I'll let them know you asked".
Will they really take 120 Days? Seems like a good way to ensure small businesses don't survive, perhaps that's the plan.

Based on experience, payouts on hold will take some time to be resolved though, it depends on the queue that they are getting. The best course of action as of now even it is not ideal is to keep an open communication with Shopify support team as they are the only one that has better view of your account's status. Make a follow-up regarding your ticket or concern to them from time to time.
