How safe is it to use Fiverr vendors for website speed optimization?

I just want to warn anyone using Fiverr and their vendors for speed optimization on your shopify store to be extremely cautious. I had a crazy experience where I paid a vendor to increase my website speed score and since I was not happy with their work, I requested for a refund. As soon as I did, my entire front end got wiped out including apps, themes, etc. I have proof for the same from store updates which I shared with fiverr as well. I trusted that website to give collab access to their vendor. 

Now I am rebulbing my website from scratch which had regular business because someone was upset over a refund. Please be very very cautious of working with marketplaces like these who either don't have a vetting process or do not take customer satisfaction as priority. Also collab access can be equally risky so I wanted to put it out there as a word of caution for other shopify sellers. 

Now back to the drawing board!

Hi @Palakr so sorry to hear about your experience, that was so unprofessional. To prevent this type of things I always install Rewind on my stores and my client's to have everything securely backed up.

Wow that's a great idea. I never knew that. Will def install it to save me time for next time. As of now the store is up and running again. Phew
