All things Shopify and commerce
Hello, I wish to add an image at the 'Thank you' page after a customer had placed an order. Most of the resources online advised me to add code in 'Order status page additional scripts' under Checkout. However, this function has been deprecated.
I have seen some Apps such as Reconvert able to do this, however they are not free and have monthly suscriptions.
Could anyone advise on an alternative? I have attached a picture on where I want the image to be placed below.
Does it matter to you where the image appears on that page? The apple is just a placeholder of what I mean 😅
As a workaround, I made a background image for the other half of the Thank You page and adjusted the image in there until it filled that portion.
Then you could put a large image underneath the grey side of the page?
To put it exactly where you have depicted, cannot think of any other way than going straight into the code for the entire store and doing it by hand.
Thank you for the reply. It could work but I'd prefer it at the specific area mentioned.
Then you'll need an app from the app store to configure a banner there. Fair warning I just spent an hour trying to find/configure one to do what you're after and couldn't get it working 😣
Ah, thank you so much for trying! Could you share with me how you managed to include an image at the bottom half of the page (the example of the apple)? I might just have to use that instead.
Hi Tasty,
I use something like the attached, a spacer image. When I upload that as background, I can see where I want that image and what adjustments I need to make to have it appear exactly as I want it.
I see! Does the image appear in mobile view?
I realized when I add my image as a background, it is only able to be viewed in desktop mode. It's not there when viewed in mobile 😕
A simple and free alternative is to edit the confirmation email instead. It won't be on the thank you page but it will work close to what you are trying to do.
Yes I understand. However I would prefer my customer to be able to view the image at the thank you page instead of taking an additional step to check their email to view the image.
