How can I add sub categories on my pages so customers can get to specific product types?

I know how to add sub categories in my menu but I want the actual page to have clickable links to sub categories like what is on this website here:

Hello samanthabelyea,
You can display subcategory by adding collection on that page.

Hi @samanthabelyea

To add sub-categories on page on Shopify, you can follow 5 steps below:

1. Checking theme setting

2. Editing the theme.liquid file of your theme

3. Adding a drop-down menu to the category page

4. Adding radio button to the category page

5. Editing drop-down menu styling

For the details, you can follow this guide on creating sub-categories

Hope it's useful for you

Hi, @samanthabelyea!

Ash here from the Shopify team. Welcome to the Shopify Community!

I definitely appreciate the desire to feature sub categories on a page, rather than just on a menu. You can absolutely do this on Shopify! We have a great tutorial here, which goes through steps to feature a subset of collections on a page - essentially making a collection of collections. Based on what you've described, and the example you shared, it appears that this tutorial is exactly what you're looking for!

As stated in the above link, the tutorial is an advanced tutorial, and is not supported by Shopify. If you have any trouble implementing the tutorial, or are not comfortable proceeding with code work, we suggest hiring a Shopify Expert for further assistance. Shopify Experts are trusted, third-party agencies and freelancers who are available for hire on jobs like this to help Shopify merchants.

I'm happy to continue our conversation if you'd like to reply to this post. What type of products are you selling, and how many sub categories are you looking to add?
