How to allow customers to input data into filter?

Hi there! I hope this finds everyone doing well. I am trying to create a filter that will allow the customer to input their required area for a playground and then have products pull up that meet that requirement. For example, a person types in they have a 50'x30' area, I would want it to pull up every playground that meets that requirement of 50'x30' or less. Is this possible? I don't know much about metalfields etc, but this seems like it would be the way to go. As you can see on my page below, I've got the Length and Width filters, but clearly it is not set up to allow input. Even a range slider would be great. 

Any help in the right direction would be so greatly appreciated!!

I suggest using the search logic and filter only the products in the collection if you are trying to get the typing input of your user. This will require knowledge with javascript code and liquid

Is there a plugin solution for this? I see that @playtopiainc has it now on his site... Can someone point me in the right direction im looking for the solution that allows my customer to input their width and length.
