Hi,

I tag my wholesale customers on Shopify. Can I sync that with Mailchimp, so that I don't have to manually tag these wholesale customers on Mailchimp??

Thank you :))

Mr. @gerlikask

it is possible to sync your Shopify customer tags with Mailchimp. Here's how you can do it:

  1. Install the Mailchimp for Shopify app: This app will allow you to sync your Shopify customer data with Mailchimp, including tags.

  2. Connect your Shopify store to Mailchimp: Once you've installed the app, you'll need to connect your Shopify store to Mailchimp.

  3. Create a segment in Mailchimp: In Mailchimp, you can create a segment for your wholesale customers based on the tags you have assigned to them in Shopify.

  4. Map the Shopify tags to Mailchimp segments: You can map the Shopify tags to the Mailchimp segments so that the tags are automatically synced from Shopify to Mailchimp.

  5. Test the integration: After you've set up the integration, be sure to test it to ensure that your wholesale customer tags are syncing correctly from Shopify to Mailchimp.

Note: This is just a general overview, and the exact steps may vary depending on the version of the Mailchimp for Shopify app you are using

Automatically syncing Shopify tags with Mailchimp isn't built-in, but there are a few workarounds. Some apps in the Shopify store can help pass customer tags into Mailchimp as merge fields or segments. Another route is using automation platforms to connect the two. I’ve had success with a tool Skyvia, which lets you create custom flows and map Shopify tags to Mailchimp fields. It’s pretty flexible if you want more control over the sync logic.
