How to block certain customers from purchasing in my store?

Hi all, looking for a way to block or blacklist customers from being able to purchase from our store. Whether that's by physical address, email, or IP address. We have Shopify Plus, but also open to downloading an app. Looking to replicate the customer blacklist functionality of eBay.

If someone is very adamant about making a purchase, theoretically they could use another email, VPN (different IP). Thus, there is no such way to block a buyer like on eBay.

But here are a few solutions:

Beacon, (https://apps.shopify.com/beacon) has this exact function you are looking for in blocking by IP address, Phone number, address, etc... It can even prevent new accounts from being created using the same information.

It is possible to block certain customers from purchasing from the store by using the Cart Lock app easily https://apps.shopify.com/cart-lock utilizing customer tags. First assign that customer to a customer tag like blacklisted. Then follow the steps below:

1. Open the app and click on the "Add a new rule" button.
2. Click "Add a new condition" and select the " Customer tags" option.
3. Add "Blacklisted" in the "Customer tags" field.
4. Save the rule.

Now the blacklisted tagged customers cannot purchase from your store.
