How to calculate customers who have purchased the same product more than 2 times?

Can anybody have a query for this in the customer segmentation part?

Hi @tuyabeauty ,

Thanks for reaching out. That’s an excellent question.

You can definitely check the returning customers via segmentation in the CUstomeers section of the admin. Let me take you through the process:

1. First, go to the Customers section in your Shopify admin.
2. Click the Filter icon and add the Products Purchased filter. There is a date range option, but select All the time if you want lifetime data.
3. Select a product and click And Add another filter. It is crucial to select the And option, not the Or. 
4.  Now, select the Number of orders filter.
5. Then, select the condition. In this case, I assume you want to select Greater than > and add 2.
6. Apply filter.

The segment should look like this:

You will then see the list of all the returning customers in your store. 

If you’re using a Shopify plan or higher, you can also pull out this data through a Report. In addition, there is a premade template for Returning customers with more in-depth detail about each customer. You can read more about Customers types of reports here.

This did not work for me, it only shows if a person has bought a specific item and also has purchased more than 2 times as the store. My query looks just like yours but with several product IDs

I have tried this too but your solution doesn't work for me either.

All I need to know is that when product 'X' launched, how many customers who bought the item have since returned and bought it again. Can this be done?

I've tried using a variety of different filters and changing parameters but the reports seem to lack the information I am looking for. I'm getting customers who have bought but they placed previous orders without product 'X' but it's still including them. There doesn't seem any way to filter out those customers without compromising the search parameters.

I would also like to see how many times a specific product has been purchase. The amount of total orders doesn't matter, only the ones pertaining to the specific product. I would love to be able to check for this in my Shopify Automation Flows
