Re: Profit Earns by Bundles

How to calculate profit and discounts for bundled products?

Hello, I have two products in my store that are bundles type.

The first one is a bundle of 6 units from products with differents costs (cost not price) with a fixed price.

In the other hand, there is also a fixed price bundle, but in this one it is the client who choose the products that goes in the bundle, but with certain restrictions. For example, in 50usd bundle he can choose 4 products from category A and 2 products from category B.

What I would like to know is how much my utilities are going to be in each case, and the discount that is being applied to each product. But BEFORE the product is activated, to determine wich products is strategic to add wich not.

What I mean is to having this information as a tool to choose better the products.

I imagine something like an average % discount for each product according to the final price, or perhaps make a weighted discount according to the price of each product (the higher price, the greater the % discount). So I can see what is the utility that is leaving each product, each box and be more strategic when adding products to the bundle.

Hi @seriokvc ,

I'm Nati from the team at BeProfit (profit analysis platform).

While what you described isn't possible with BeProfit yet, we recently launched our new analytics suite to cover different areas in eCommerce, discounts being one of them.

As you can see below, with our discount analysis feature you'll be able to analyze the performance of each discount you provide your customers, including gross sales\profit, gross margins and more.

I know it doesn't answer your question perfectly, but perhaps it can assist - let me know if you have any questions. Cheers!

Hi Nati,

Is that analysis shown by products or by total sales?

What I mean is if you can see the profit earned by product.
