How to change product detail image webhosting to shopify

Hello,

I'm preparing to move to shopify from another platform.

I'm using the Excel bulk upload method to migrate my products, and I've entered the html code of my old product descriptions into Excel to create products on Shopify.

That being said, the image URLs in the description are also still using the CDN URLs provided by the old platform, and since we will no longer be using that platform once the platform migration is complete, I would like to change all image URLs to the CDN URLs provided by Shopify.

Is there an easy way to make this change?

@haebom Hope you are doing well.

After completing the import process, consider updating the URL to Shopify CDN. To ensure that the update is successful, try removing one image from your other CDN store and check if it reflects on your Shopify store. If the change is not visible, then you are good to go with the import.

Updating image URLs in your product descriptions during Shopify migration has two options:

Excel Search & Replace:

Use the "Find and Replace" function to update old platform URLs with Shopify's CDN URL pattern (found in Settings > Files).
Remember to test on a small sample before applying to all products.
Shopify App:

Use apps like Bulk Image Edit or Migration Magic to automate the update process.
Upload your data, map old URLs to a new field for Shopify URLs, and let the app handle the update.
