Hi everyone,
I'm trying to organize my products into a hierarchical structure within my Shopify store, but I can't seem to find an option to create sub-collections or nested levels under a main collection. Does Shopify support this feature, or is there a workaround or an app that can help achieve this? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
Shopify does not offer natively this feature, you can use filter tags from their customization for collections.
secondly, you can add tags to products "sub-collection" to represent products for sub-collections.
and thirdly, for best results, you need to do custom coding to make nesting collections by changing the template code.
you may try the first 2 methods and can achieve it but still, customers will have to filter out. but if you need custom coding stuff you need to hire an expert, and I can assist you for this, let me know if you need further assistance.
Thanks

Please mention app name for sub collection
@Avais,
here are the apps.
but I would recommend you use custom code with tags and templates, to avoid monthly charges of apps, you will have to pay for apps on monthly basis.
if you are service provider yourself then you can ask your client to use apps, if you are store owner I can help you to achieve that feature.
let me know
Thanks

Hi!
Shopify doesn’t have true nested collections out of the box, but many stores create that effect using custom layouts or navigation structures.
If you’re looking for a faster way, you can try this:
👉 FDL Breadcrumbs & Collections
It’s super easy to use — you just drag and drop to build your hierarchy, and it handles breadcrumbs and navigation automatically.
Happy to help if you want to explore it!
