All things Shopify and commerce
Hello,
I'm very new to Shopify. So basically I have a website that sells digital products DNG files. One product can contains several DNG files inside it and I uploaded it each of them as DNG. When I tried checkout testing, I got 2 emails which the first email is the receipt of the payment with links to download each DNG files separately and the second email is basically a link to download all DNG files as a ZIP from delivery@shopify.com. My question is how do I disable shopify to not send the second email which is a zip of the products? I just want the first email only which is the receipt along with the links to each of the file. Help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hey @ArtseePresets
You can disable the auto-fulfillment for individual product listings in the digital downloads app. I would test this out though as I don't want it to remove the download links you are seeing in the standard order confirmation email. If that doesn't work then the digital downloads app won't have that option currently.

Hi, @ArtseePresets. Thank you for sharing all of that context! I'm happy to look into this wth you. To clarify, how have you set up your shop to send customers your digital products? Are you using an app for this or are you doing it all natively within Shopify?

Hi Erin,
Thank you so much for the reply. So far I did it natively within Shopify starting from uploading the files until the checkout page. Just went through the settings on products without installing any other outside apps. Thank you.

Thanks for following up about the @ArtseePresets
Shopify does not have the ability to connect digital products for download to an order without the use of an app. It sounds like you may have 2 separate apps working in tandem, hence why you are seeing two separate emails.
In your store admin under Settings > Apps and Sales Channels you can review the apps installed on your store. The second email that sent the files as a .zip is most likely from Shopify's Digital Downloads app. If you review the order timeline for this test order in your admin you should be able to see what app is sending the files once the order is complete. Our authenticated chat support team can also help you review this order if you need help finding out what app(s) might be sending digital files.

Hi Shay,
Thank you for your response, I found out that the email was made by Shopify's digital downloads app. I used the app to upload the DNG files to my shop. Is there anyway that I can disable the email settings so that Shopify's digital download doesn't send any email. Thank you.

Hi Shay,
Thank you so much for your help. One way to bypass this is by not fulfilling the order since this is a digital store. I tested it already and it doesn't send any email from the app. Thank you.
