How to display the main product image on page load?

Hi There,

We have a main image set for all our products but for some reason, it doesn't display when you view a product page - a variant image shows even though a variant hasn't been chosen (and the URL reflects this).

How do you make the main image display on page load? We're using Debut but are currently migrating to Dawn.
