How to download detailed sales reports via API?

I have an app that needs the sales data for a client that has authenticated through my app. Looking at the api docs I can see some sales reports under the analytics section, however these seem to be only aggregated sales reports: Report (shopify.dev)

Is there a way to get details for these aggregated sales reports or would I need to compose my own by retrieving and processing the orders?
