All things Shopify and commerce
Now that Shopify '24 has released its update on product colors (and other category metafields), how do you create a filter based on the Base color? We have a lot of products and our filters must be simplified to the base colors.
We have connected the category metafield and a product now has information on which color is available. But how do we expose the base color in the filter?

Hey, I just noticed that this has been updated
and it references also Base Color
So, this has been updated and works well!
I guess the no-code solution would be to use something like a spreadsheet editor and add a formula transferring all base colors into tags.
And then the tags can be used for filtering
I can't figure this one out as well. I wanted all the videos around Editions and got my team so excited about Category Metafields and its ability to build out robust filter menus, but it literally doesn't let you do that? What would be the reason Shopify would disallow that? I'm having a hard time understanding.
