All things Shopify and commerce
I know the procedure spelled out by the tech support chat bots, but it does not work. Go to DNS setting and there is no way to get the site to generate the TXT line needed to start the verification process. The instructions say to enter the TXT provide by Shopify, but it does not provide anything at all. The chat bot said this is because I don't need to have my site verified right now, everything is fine. OK, so how do I prove ownership of my domain in order to be approved for CC processing in the meantime? It seems to me that if you're using an outside CC processor you cannot in anyway use Shopify as they will not provide verification of your ownership so you can even apply. I need different platform, I guess? What else can I do? Do any web platforms have live humans anymore? This all bots now, 100%, plus they program them to lie and claim they're human. Does anyone know how I can prove ownership of my domain name?
Hi @DoctorGreenbud ,
Add a Custom TXT Record in Shopify DNS
Go to: Shopify Admin → Settings → Domains
Click your domain → Manage DNS
Add a TXT Record:
Name/Host: @
Value: (Use the verification string provided by your credit card processor)
This proves domain ownership to most payment processors.
Please let me know if you need anything else !
Thanks
