Hello @foodpackaging,

1. Use the Matrixify app

Export your products from WooCommerce using a plugin like "Product Export for WooCommerce."

Clean up the export file if needed (Matrixify has a template you can follow).

Upload the file using Matrixify to import all your products into Shopify.
This method is flexible and reliable if you're comfortable working with spreadsheets.

2. Use services on Shopify Experts

There are paid migration services that handles everything automatically, including products, customers, orders, etc.

It’s less hands-on but gets the job done if you’re willing to pay for convenience.

3. Hire a freelancer

You can also find people/individual on Shopify Experts or Upwork to handle the import for you if you prefer not to do it yourself. If you're just starting out and want to keep costs down, I would suggest Matrixify is the best self-serve option.

Hi @Kudosi-Carlos
Thank you for suggesting the use of the Matrixify app.

@foodpackaging

You sure can use Matrixify app to migrate data from WordPress/WooCommerce to Shopify!

With Matrixify there even is a better way for such migration from WordPress WooCommerce that would not require to export data from WooCommerce to spreadsheet.

The app is developed to be able to connect to the WooCommerce API and generate importable spreadsheet files directly from data returned by WooCommerce. Here is our tutorial on how to do just that - Migrate your store from WordPress/WooCommerce to Shopify.

But of course, WooCommerce and Shopify are two very different platforms so some level of work might be needed on the data in a spreadsheet to clean it up and adjust as per your needs and Shopify validations/errors.

If you have any questions or concerns along the way, feel free to reach out to Matrixify Support directly.

@Kudosi-Carlos between using services and freelancer, what would you suggest to be better in terms of efficiency?

From my exp, I would say services would be a safer bet as freelancer is a 50/50 kind of thing. They will be sure more affordable but if you're not in a good hand, it can take longer to get things done

Yes, you can easily import products from your old WordPress-based site (https://www.ledstriplightings.com/) to Shopify using an app like Cart2Cart. It’s an automated migration tool that helps transfer products, categories, customers, and order data in bulk without manual work. You don’t need to be a developer—Cart2Cart handles the process smoothly and securely. If you prefer professional help, Cart2Cart also offers assisted migration services for a fee.
