Hello, I've been developing some instructions for manually integrating Reddit's Pixel into Shopify Stores.

I'm looking for;

1) feedback on the ease of following the instructions

2) guidance on how to locate an add to cart element between different themes

3) how to correctly code in the meta data. i.e. value, order number, ROAS, etc.

Many thanks for this. I just followed your instructions and was able to implement the pixel except for the 'addToCart' event as our theme has a product-form.liquid instead of .js and I wasn't able to locate the handler.

Very cool, and thanks for the directions. However, this is no longer relevant for anyone who upgrades to Checkout Extensibility:

  1. Theme code is no longer editable for checkout. Instead, we must use Customer Events.
  2. If you put pixel code in the main theme code, tracking will double up between the customer events and the theme code.

Have you had to upgrade to checkout extensibility yet? I'm encountering an issue where EVERY sale is counted as a Reddit sale. But we've emailed these customers and they never saw our Reddit ad, so something is going wrong with the tracking. I think it might have to do with Shopify's sandbox environment for pixels...
