How to link customers automatically via orders on POS

I would like to track LTV of customers, however Shopify seems to make this difficult to do. Is there a way to automatically link customer orders together when they use the same credit card on POS? An example is this:

Customer orders a coffee on 01/14 with mastercard XXX1

Customer orders a coffee and bagel on 01/19 with mastercard XXX1

I would like to be able to create a customer and link these orders together. Nice to have would be to also link to any online orders if they used the exact same card as well.
