All things Shopify and commerce
Hi! I want to sell at different prices. In ecommerce I want to make discounts, but in my point sales I want to sell at normal prices. how can make?
Thanks.
It is my understanding that this simple and basic function is not something that the fancy Shopify system can handle.
I was only talking to a client yesterday about this very issue. I've seen it on another system but as far as I am aware it is not available on Shopify. They assume that you will want to sell the product at the same price in-store and online.
The only way round it is to use one of the wholesale apps like Wholesale Club which allows you to offer variable pricing by customer tag etc. https://apps.shopify.com/wholesale-club
The other option is to use automated discounts and exclude from POS.
This is so important and needed for everyone who is working with a webshop and POS with multiple locations. This could be the deal breaker for me since I can no longer work around this with discounts etc. I want to add the list prices for each location separately.
I am not even 1% surprised that Shopify doesn't support this natively, I have long since given up hope that they offer anything beyond the most basic fuctionality out of the box. But I'm very surprised that there isn't an app that allows for this. I am about to need this feature very badly and if I can't do with with Shopify I will have to switch to something else.
Hi, all.
Thank you for reaching out and contributing to the thread.
I can definitely understand the importance of having this functionality to be able to set up different prices for Point of Sale and the Online Store. While this is not a native feature currently, I will be passing along your feedback to our product development team for consideration. I recommend keeping our Shopify Changelog handy to stay up to date with new features.
In the meantime, a workaround is duplicating your products and making each product available on Point of Sale and the Online Store respectively.

Acknowlegement is always appreciated but we all know this will just be tossed on the pile with all the other requests that haven't seen any movement for 5+ years.
The suggestion of duplicating products may work for some, but my store has 2000+ products so it isn't realistic. Also once you split the products into two, the inventory numbers are no longer linked.
I have emailed a couple of the companies that make shopify apps with similiar but not quite right functionality to ask if they will consider adding this feature. I think that is the only way it will become a reality anytime soon.
Have you found any solution to this problem? I was looking at apps today and there is an app, but it has no reviews or sample stores so I am weary. It is called VariPrice - POS Custom Pricing
Thanks for the hint you are referring to this one: https://apps.shopify.com/variprice
I just looked it up and since there is a free plan that will be sufficient for me, I‘ll go and give it a try. It is relatively new (3 weeks) so maybe that’s why there are no reviews.
Did you try out this app? Any luck? I was looking at it also a few weeks ago.
